Citigroup AVP, Support Banker in Shanghai, China
The Corporate Banking Associate is an intermediate level professional responsible for supporting senior bankers to serve clients’ various banking needs while delivering Citi’s own business plan. The overall objective of this role is to drive revenue by cross selling the Citi platform while efficiently deploying the firm's capital and evaluating and managing risk.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Senior Bankers to provide overall relationship management support
Serve as a client fronting point to explore clients’ business needs and reach out to relevant internal teams for solutioning
Work with product partners and supporting functions to pitch for day-to-day cash management activities, trading initiatives, vendor finance, foreign exchange, loan activity, debt capital markets efforts, share repurchase and interest rate/equity derivatives
Deploy Citi’s account strategy along with Senior Bankers. Cross sell full spectrum of products and services to generate revenue and meet return target
Responsible for evaluating public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts to evaluate client’s financial profile and conduct credit related discussions
Responsible for staying abreast of market and industry trends, “best practices” and competitive landscape
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience
MBA or Master's Degree in Business preferred
Good understanding of commercial banking products such as liquidity management, trade, FX, cash investment, etc. Certain level of credit skills and knowledge of Citi’s credit policies
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Willing and able to build solid relationship with both clients and internal stakeholders. Bear One Citi mindset to deliver Citi’s value proposition
