VF Corporation Assistant Manager, Retail Brand Experience in Shanghai, China

Role & Responsibilities:

Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position) :

The Assistant Manager, Retail Brand Experience (Timberland APAC) is responsible for supporting the creation and adaptation of the APAC physical retail brand experience strategies – including but not limited to retail campaigns, assets and toolkits, and retail store concept design. This role requires a proven track record in retail marketing planning & execution, as well as experience in developing retail marketing/VM creatives with agencies/internal creative teams.

Key Result Areas:

  • Retail campaign assets/toolkits: Support the creation/adaptation of APAC relevant retail marketing campaign toolkits/assets (including core and energy stories)

  • Support the development of APAC physical retail marketing playbook (zoning & navigation guidelines, retail marketing communications, visual merchandising principles, store concept principles & segmentation)

  • Leverage and integrate consumer insights & market trends to deliver more effective campaigns and retail brand experiences.

  • Support the local adaptations of global/regional store design concepts – including but not limited to store segmentation(via store design elements), long-term in-store localization branding space designs, elevation of fixture, and general materiality.

  • Support the development of seasonal GTM (SS&FW) physical retail marketing campaign showcase designs.

Competency Requirements :

Behavioral Competencies -

  • 2+ years relevant retail marketing experience for multinational brands.

  • Excellent understanding of in-store consumer journey and how both retail communications & VM impacts the consumers brand experience in the key touchpoints (AEC).

  • Strong creative sense with experience in developing/designing retail marketing campaigns.

  • Solid understanding of how store design interacts with/impacts retail marketing & VM to shape the holistic retail brand experience.

  • High EQ & great communication skills.

  • Team player and the ability to work independently.

  • Able to handle stress and deliver under tight deadlines.

  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin

Experience

Minimum Relevant Experience: 2+ years relevant retail marketing experience for multinational brands.

Academic Qualifications

Minimum Degree Held: University Degree in marketing, communication, or store/commercial space design.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
