Job Description
As an ASQE, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our suppliers' processes related but not limited to turning, grinding, milling, and casting.
Your role will involve working closely with our suppliers to identify and address quality issues, implementing process improvements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our suppliers meet our stringent quality standards and deliver high-quality components for our products.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with suppliers to define quality requirements and ensure compliance with Danfoss Power Solutions' standards and specifications.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier processes, including casting, turn parts, castings, forging (cold/warm), electronics to identify potential quality issues and areas for improvement.
Analyze supplier quality data, including non-conformities and corrective actions, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Implement and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance and product quality.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality and Procurement, to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
Participate in the selection and approval process for new suppliers, conducting technical assessments and quality audits.
Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers, addressing any technical or quality-related concerns.
Lead and facilitate supplier development programs, including training sessions and workshops, to improve supplier capabilities and performance.
Maintain documentation and records related to supplier quality performance and improvement activities.
Ensure suppliers are following the Danfoss APQP requirements.
Ensure all aspects of the PPAP requirements from Danfoss are clearly defined, are understood by the supplier, the supplier completes all documents thoroughly, and the PPAP submission meets all Danfoss expectations.
Background & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in supplier quality engineering, with a focus on turning, grinding, milling, and casting processes.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies, such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and 5W/8D problem-solving techniques.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and specifications.
Experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and result-oriented, with a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Strong knowledge of English language (written and spoken).
