Ziegler CAT Transportation Dispatcher in Shakopee, Minnesota
Ziegler Cat has an opening for a Transportation Dispatcher to coordinate equipment deliveries for Ag, Rental, and Product Support divisions, utilizing internal resources and external third party vendors in the most efficient and cost effective manner available. We are looking for a dedicated employee to help deliver top notch service to our growing customer base. Responsibilities: Communicate haul requests to drivers via Dispatching Solutions Inc. (DSI) Understand driver and vehicle capability to perform the requested haul Support drivers, coordinators, and sales with answering questions via the phone or email in a responsive manner Promptly communicate any delays, issues, or concerns with completing the requested haul Provide after-hours support for emergency haul requests Oversee the compliance of driver log books Maintain relationships with outside vendors and identify new vendors as needed Negotiate prices with third party vendors as necessary Ensure loads assigned to internal resources are completed following Federal, State and Local regulations Qualifications: 2-yr degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required Personal Attributes: Attention to Detail, Customer Focus, Efficiency, Problem Solving, Teamwork Familiarity with DOT requirements preferred Demonstrated understanding of MN, IA, WI, MO and FMCSA trucking regulations preferred Strong PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Minimum Physical Requirements: Using hands, talking, hearing Working Conditions are indoors. Noise level is quiet.
