Job Title: Mechanical Designer II

Job Description

The Mechanical Designer II is responsible for the design, layout, and documentation of hydraulic power units and integrated manifolds, as well as the design and maintenance of manufacturing-assembly procedures for pumps, motors, and valves.

Principal Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

• Create 3D CAD models, schematics, and prints of essential hydraulic components, manifold bodies, and/or system designs.

• Support the sales group and distribution channel with technical support and design recommendations for hydraulic assemblies, including manifolds and power units.

• Exercise constant creative thinking in design work and utilize knowledge of basic engineering principles, equipment, or design practices and current manufacturing methods and procedures.

• Design, document, and coordinate system operations to ensure the manufacturing operations are aligned in their work procedures.

• Identify components for standardization in design to achieve both quality and cost objectives. Aid in selection, recommendation, and usage of materials and components.

• Collaborate with Sales and Management on new product developments for future growth. Understand that customer service is everyone’s responsibility.

• Ensure that all design work meets pertinent industry standards, particularly safety and quality. Follow necessary steps and processes to promote drawings and part numbers to production.

• Assist in manufacturing and be a liaison for questions as assembly challenges arise due to related design choices.
