Robert Half Infrastructure Architect in Shakopee, Minnesota

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the government industry, based in Shakopee, Minnesota, for an Infrastructure Architect. The role involves designing and constructing enterprise-wide infrastructure to meet business objectives and ensuring data integrity and security. The successful candidate will be involved in strategic IT planning, system integration, compatibility across multiple platforms, and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design models that reflect institutional strategies and goals

• Contribute to the development of technical and security standards across the institution

• Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of multifaceted enterprise solutions

• Collaborate with external parties and provide direction and training to IT personnel

• Maintain and enhance expert knowledge of the institution’s infrastructure

• Lead complex IT projects and oversee technical aspects of work projects and processes

• Analyze the feasibility of potential projects and ensure alignment with standards and architectural plans

• Test the technical performance of systems infrastructure, report findings, and recommend improvements

• Develop infrastructure, servers, systems, and solutions

• Solve program-level problems and establish action guides

• Translate user needs into infrastructure solutions

• Manage encryption and security measures, and propose enhancements to services and hardware

• Document and assess existing systems. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience working as an Infrastructure Architect in the government sector

• Proficiency in developing and implementing Infrastructure Solutions

• Advanced skills in Connectivity and Deprovisioning tasks

• Extensive experience with Windows Azure

• Strong understanding of government standards and regulations related to IT infrastructure

• Proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale IT projects

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert would be advantageous

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire team members

• Ability to stay informed about the latest developments in IT infrastructure
