City of Seward Campground Coordinator in Seward, Alaska
This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of municipal campgrounds.
- Delivers an outstanding user experience for campground guests.
- Ensures smooth campground operation and provides exceptional customer service through effective leadership, training, staffing, and communication.
- Hires, trains, and supervises campground staff; schedules staff and ensures sufficient coverage to sustain campground operations.
- Continuously optimizes the booking process and user experience; gathers user feedback; identifies deficiencies; implements improvements that operate reliably at scale.
- Provides general information and hospitality to campers regarding local amenities, events and activities.
- Plans and organizes campground events and activities; works with Sports and Recreation to increase programming at the campgrounds.
- Prepares and distributes marketing materials; monitors and updates the campgrounds online presence, e.g., websites, social media, etc.
- Conducts routine compliance checks: enforces camping regulations, notifies users of violations, and resolves user conflict using appropriate techniques.
- Cleans park grounds and buildings, including restrooms, pavilions and other facilities.
- Picks up litter and empties refuse containers.
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism and positively represents the department at all times
- Prepares budget and financial projections as requested.
