The Community Investment Professional, working independently under general supervision, is responsible to support the implementation and management of corporate responsibility projects, which includes grant and sponsorship coordination and daily fiduciary and risk responsibilities for the private Foundation as it relates to community investment. The role also provides ongoing support and collaboration with the Foundation'sgiving (e.g., grants, donations, and sponsorship) programs and shares responsibility for the day-to-day grant operations of the department, from grant intake through payments, reporting and grant closeout. Supports the implementation and management of corporate responsibility projects, including grant, donation and sponsorship coordination, due diligence, and daily fiduciary and risk responsibilities for the private Foundation as it relates to community investment. Responsible for the distribution, tracking, and reporting of commitments for donations from the Westfield Insurance Foundation and the company (exceeds $3 million annually). Ensures proper due diligence is performed on each donation prior to processing the distribution request. Assists in guarding the Foundation from "self-dealing" in compliance with IRS rules. Identifies and escalates appropriate legal issues and risks. Processes most department-related expenses, including maintaining expense records and receipts for annual budgeting and monthly expense reconciliation and understanding procurement procedures. Manages corporate responsibility programs, including employee engagement events, employee payroll deduction programs, employee volunteer grant program, sponsored events, and scholarship programs. Maintains partnerships with internal stakeholders such as accounting services, procurement, investment management and financial reporting departments. Serves as a resource to community investment beneficiaries and as a liaison between Westfield and external clients to ensure consistent and efficient operations and communication. Prepares reports, budgets, correspondence, and other documentation as needed. Assists corporate responsibility team members with ad hoc projects, reviewing reports and publications, scheduling calendar events, meetings, and travel. Serves as the central point of contact for initiatives impacting the entire unit/department, such as policy changes, office/operational/equipment changes, new hire onboarding/processing, business unit/department events, etc. Bachelors degree in a relevant major, Business, Sociology, Psychology or other degree of relevancy. 2+ years experience in a similar field of work such as civic affairs, community relations/ investment, public relations, marketing & communications, foundation management, enterprise social governance.
