Amentum Engineering Technologist in Severn, Maryland
Amentum’s Tactical Systems Division (TSD) designs, manufactures, markets, and sells world class products and customer support to all levels of government worldwide. TSD proudly supports military, intelligence community, and law enforcement agencies around the world.
TSD is currently seeking an Engineering Technologist for Product Development and work with the current cellular and Wi-Fi engineering teams to refine/create viable solutions for the law enforcement, IC, and military market segments. This position will be heavily involved with product sales, customer support, and customer training.
Duties/responsibilities: Product Development, Field test, refine, develop, and provide details for improvement of existing and future hardware and software solutions. Assist with leading the design, development, testing, and usability phases of new products. Assist with getting existing and new products to market. Accurately record and report back customer feedback to the support staff. Coordinate and attend conferences and trade shows. Provide remote and on-site technical support to the user community during regular business hours and occasionally after-hours.
This is what you will need:
Knowledge of current cellular and Wi-Fi technologies is a must.
Clearable up to TS/SCI.
Bachelor’s Degree (or 20 years of experience in lieu of degree).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Must be able to work standard shift within the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
May be required to work outside of normal shift hours when required for mission support.
Must be flexible to support the customer.
Preferred:
Former law enforcement or military experience in this technology is preferred.
Familiarity with the EIG product offerings a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $190,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
