About this role

The Revenue& Category Growth (R&CG) Director role is the glue that helps bring the customer needs and insights into Diageo while shaping plans of category-first approach that enables the teams to win in the market, ultimately leading to driving sales and share. Success obviously then comes down to the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions including Marketing, Category, Finance, Supply Chain and Account Teams with influence.

This position incumbent will play a pivotal role in enabling the R&CG team to manage gap closing plans that help bridge the forecast to the Annual Operation Plan (AOP) through the coordination of marketing plans, Net Revenue Management (NRM) strategies and customer needs by all while maintaining the shape required to deliver the organisation's objectives. In turn the role plays in building the capability of talent within the account teams to better understand our products, performance, insights and key sales drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • To drive the annual Diageo business plan in a way that engages the internal business and equips the customer teams with the support, plans and insights that help influence key external stakeholders

  • Lead & develop category thinking to create strategies & platforms to grow the category, and align with cross functional teams to lead delivery of short/mid/long term category strategy and growth initiative (particularly Innovation).

  • Accountable for delivering the category annual plan that brings together Category insights with Marketing Plans and a view on Recommended Pricing Strategies that collectively create the foundation and intervention plans from which the team can win externally

  • Lead the end-to-end understanding of the forecast as loaded in the demand plan while driving gap closing plans that ensure the delivery of Net Sell Value (NSV) and shape against the AOP with engagement of the cross commercial team to build capability in product knowledge, market insights (garnered from category),

  • Review and influence the inputs used in innovation plans to ensure customer margins, distribution targets, volume assumptions, promotion plans and shopper marketing amplification plans are coordinating and lead to outstanding execution.

  • Lead and Supervise the developing a long term category activation plan to include pack, (category) pricing & promotion, shelf; range; and merchandising/visibility, and build a roadmap across years to achieve that vision with short term implications.

  • Demonstrate lead by example to being a better talent builder by ensuring team capability elevation and enhancement

Qualifications

  • Graduate, preferably with at least 10-15 years of experience in Revenue Growth Management(RGM), planning, and sales

  • Proven track record of defining and delivering commercially oriented strategies and plans

  • Strong commercial experience and financial acumen

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Leadership presence and ability to influence critical commercial decisions at a sophisticated level with senior stakeholders

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team to align and coordinate internal resources

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with innovative approaches

  • Korean: native, English: preferable
