Purpose of Role

The Professional of Planning Team will be responsible for playing a role in the pre-season financial and inventory planning process as well as in-season sell through analysis in a specific product category for our UA Korea channel and can make an instant impact to the business. This individual will work in partnership with our Commercial teams as well as our Merchandising and Supply Chain teams amongst others here at UA to drive and deliver results.

Your Impact

  • Analyze business performance during weekly sales to support Open To Buy meetings and manage demand of buying product units in the system

  • Support team to develop preseason buy forecast, margin and inventory turn plans that support Under Armour major growth strategies at the division, department and key item level

  • Participate in analyzing historical data and current trends while identifying risks and opportunities

  • Publish product weekly sell through reporting and provide analysis on trend

  • Develop topline business review of business & sales versus plan and previous year

  • Align financial plans by utilizing Commercial Teams’ strategy & profitability, sell-thru and store growth and marketplace information

  • Inform fore sighting of line plans with long-range category plans, utilize marketplace insights to identify long range growth opportunities

  • Manage various channels of seasonal buy demand by Under Armour own system’s tracking method

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, fashion or a related field preferred

  • 4+ years’experience in buying, planning, allocation and/or vendor sales for retail business

  • Excellent partnership skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English.

  • Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred

  • Comprehensive understanding of retail math & Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business

  • Ability to adopt analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex quantitative data

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships to drive collaboration, teamwork
