General Summary:

Collaborates on HR initiatives and projects to deliver services for our business partners. Researches, learns, and applies knowledge of HR areas (e.g., compensation, employee relations, training and development), policies, guidelines, and procedures to support the business and deliver programs that attract, retain, and develop diverse talent. This includes knowledge of the business, industry, and state and federal law to enable the execution of HR solutions that add business value.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Work as a local HR operations representative, leads employee relations investigations, performance improvement plans, employee/manager counselling and other related projects.

∘ Working under some supervision.

• Making ethical decisions that are moderate in impact; errors may have relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct.

• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. May require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc.

• Completing tasks with multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.

• Using deductive and inductive problem solving; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required.

The responsibilities of this role do not include:

• Does not have financial accountability.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Applies fundamental knowledge of a broad range of HR areas (e.g., compensation, employee relations, training and development), or HR policies, guidelines, procedures, and best practices to deliver services and resolve some complex HR-related issues.

• Leverages a broad understanding of applicable local and federal employment law (e.g., wage and hour, labor), team and business goals and requirements, and industry trends to support the region for multiple workstreams.

• Gathers, integrates, and interprets data and information from various sources to understand slightly complex issues and recommends solutions.

• Works with data for small projects with minimal direction and conducts analyses to recommend solutions for moderately complex issues.

• Collaborates and develops effective working relationships with partners within and outside team to accomplish mutual goals.

• Tailors straightforward messages to an audience’s needs with guidance.

• Suggests ideas for improving existing methods to better accomplish work; independently translates others’ ideas into solutions and procedures.

• Independently applies prior input and guidance from others to make sound, ethical, and timely decisions.

• Completes work on time with minimal guidance; stays attuned to details across multiple tasks and ensures work is accurate and complete.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of HR-related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree and 5+ years of HR-related work experience.

OR

High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of HR-related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Law, Labor Relations, or related field.

• 5+ years of HR Operations, Employee Relations, Human Resources Business Partner/ Generalist, or related work experience.

• 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

Language Requirements:

§ Native Korean speaker, Korean writing and reading proficiency, oral and written English proficiency
