BorgWarner Inc. Advanced Launch Manager in Seneca, South Carolina
Lead the development and manage availability of all parts required for various stages of New Program / Changes to Programs, by executing all required tasks of Global Supply Management team to meet program timing and coordinating other activities of cross functional team. Work with Buyers to ensure purchased price of parts for new programs / change of programs are less than the targets. Track and present Launch readiness status and Total BOM costs. Represent and Answer cost/s of purchased parts during Requests for Quote stage or program.

Standard Duites :
Work to identify local and global suppliers
Ensure potential and existing supplier alignment to BorgWarner Terms and Conditions
Represent Purchasing organization in the cross functional team from conception of program till successful launch of program
Gain insight to identify benchmark opportunities for specific program
Support in analyzing quotes from suppliers & costs from potential suppliers and prepare for management review.
Coordinate with purchasing team for source selection and kick off sourced purchase components to meet or improve the awarded program cost, quality and delivery
Lead cross functional technical reviews with the suppliers and BorgWarner Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Operational Teams
Communicate supplier risks with regard to the launch of a program, escalate to appropriate leaders and to cross functional team.
Develop recovery plans for components late deliverables for program.
Maintain and Report the supplier launch readiness on a regular basis and escalate launch risk to appropriate leaders.
Track BOM for Purchased components
Responsible to process design changes requests and be a part of the change management team until PPAP for new or change programs.
Assist in special assignments.
Support the business segments and cross functional team on business pursuits for all purchased components and assist with cost estimating team for pre-quotations.
Support analysis of make / buy decision
Maintain supplier relationships that are both productive and mutually beneficial
Work cooperatively with peers to implement consistent policies, procedures, strategies, and reporting.
Support adherence to all statutory regulations concerning health, safety and environmental standards, as well as the company sustainable development program.
Demonstrate commitment to the principal of continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree required; Master's Degree preferred
8+ Years of related experience required
Negotiation Experience required
