ABB Inc Lean Challenge Summer Internship 2025 in Senatobia, Mississippi
This is a Lean Challenge Summer Internship 2025 position with a company located in Senatobia, MS.
Job Summary: As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is onsite in Senatobia, Mississippi.
Responsibilities: Process Improvement -- Evaluate and measure wastes in the production line through time keeping. Process Improvement -- Eliminate or reduce waste by applying lean manufacturing tools (such as: spaghetti diagram, line balancing, 7 wastes, kaizen, 5's, standard work). Presentation Skills -- Weekly report out to site management. Lean Six Sigma -- Project development using DMAIC approach. Change Management -- Challenge status quo and collaborate with production employees to implement changes.
Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain or operations, within the United States. Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions. Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
