We're looking for a Director of Manufacturing Operations to oversee and optimize a value stream's performance, coach and develop a high-performing team, and champion continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

How You'll Create Possibilities

As the Director of Manufacturing Operations, you will:

• Lead, coach, and develop engineers, team leaders, and hourly production team members within the value stream.

• Drive operational performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team morale, aligning goals with broader value stream objectives.

• Oversee daily operations, including staffing, production planning, and problem resolution.

• Utilize production boards to track performance, identify issues, and communicate key updates across shifts and teams.

• Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing practices and standardized work processes.

• Lead daily production and escalation meetings to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.

• Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with safety standards and conducting timely incident investigations.

• Champion continuous improvement through the Appliance Production System philosophy, ensuring a defect-free product is delivered according to specifications.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

We’re seeking an innovative leader who is results-driven and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have:

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or a related field.

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing operations.

• Strong technical acumen and the ability to work with all organizational levels to achieve results.

• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• A proactive mindset, high energy, and a passion for leading teams and driving change.

• Availability to support 24/7 manufacturing facilities, including occasional off-shift, on-call, and weekend responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Six Sigma certification and knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices.

• Hands-on experience with Lean, DMAIC, and other process improvement tools.

• A proven track record of achieving measurable results and fostering teamwork.
