TEKsystems Cable Technician in Selma, North Carolina

5 Level II cable technicians needed for major structured cabling projects in Clayton and Holly Springs, NC

NO TRAVEL REQUIRED!!!

Shifts are typically Monday through Friday, 6am to 4pm. No weekends required. Techs can expect roughly 10 hours of overtime, weekly. Shifts may vary depending on the needs of the project.

Job Description:

Our client needs 4 experienced cable techs to pull and terminate Cat6 cable for major structured cabling projects in Clayton and Holly Springs, NC. Techs will be paid between $19-$21 per hour, depending on field experience and certifications. Terms of the contract are 6 months, with the ability to extend, or even convert permanently with the client after the 6 month window. This is a new construction job that will require techs to wear steel toed boots and use PPE (the client will provide the PPE). OSHA 10 certifications are required prior to start date. If techs do not have their OSHA 10 certification prior to being hired, they will be required to get certified, at their own cost, prior to walking in for orientation.

The level 2 tech will need steel toed boots, a punchdown tool with 66 and 110 blades, snipes, and knife. They will be running the cable, hanging using J hooks, and working with a lead level tech.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Customer facing skills will be highly desired. They need to be presentable, articulate, and able to work in a team environment. All techs must have a willingness to work hard and learn the methods of the client.
