National Salvage and Service is seeking to hire a General Laborer which is based out of our Fuel Yard in Selma, Alabama.
National Salvage & Service is a sustainable company, we recycle nearly all the material we salvage. This practice not only keeps these materials out of landfills, improving the environment; it also saves our customers significant amounts of money, reducing the cost of a job and adding to profit.
National is a leading wholesale provider of used railroad ties and new railroad ties and other treated hardwood railroad track products, as well as recycled utility poles.

Essential Job Functions:
Upkeep of facility: mowing, weed eating, debris clean-up and similar tasks
Assisting operators and light equipment operation of skid steers and other small equipment
Strong work history of repairing and maintenance of small engines and equipment
Qualifications:
1 year of Outdoor Labor experience
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
Follow all Safety Programs, Policies, and Procedures
Must have strong teamwork mindset
Physical Requirements: Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, move throughout the day, use hands in repetitive motions, walk on uneven terrain, lift up to 50 pounds, and exposure to loud noises. You will be exposed to all weather elements.
