Summary THIS IS AN AIR FORCE NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TITLE 32 AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR (MI 127th AMXS), Position Description Number NGD1528000 and is part of the MI 127 Wing, Michigan Air National Guard. Responsibilities THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POISITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP This is a Dual-bid announcement with AGR #24-071 This position is located within an Air National Guard flying unit, Aircraft Generation Squadron. Its purpose is to serve as the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator, with responsibility for the overall maintenance effort on the flight line to include work operations performed by two or more distinct organizational units and controlled by a number of separate supervisors. The position does not have supervisory duties or responsibilities. 1. Responsible for the total squadron maintenance program, manages the overall direction of the maintenance effort, and enforces safe maintenance practices. In addition, responsible for identifying, assembling, and managing critical equipment items. 2. Participates in establishing the monthly and weekly maintenance plans. Attends the daily maintenance planning meetings for the purpose of incorporating unscheduled maintenance into the weekly and daily maintenance plans. 3. Controls and coordinates maintenance activity on the flight line. Monitors aircraft maintenance in progress and evaluates estimated completion time against scheduling and planning requirements. 4. May be required to coordinate with supervisors to select workers and assign tasks to be performed. When necessary, initiates action to resolve personnel shortages and coordinates requirements with the Maintenance Operations Center (MOC). 5. Understands, executes, and coordinates specific disaster control duties including the provisions contained Air Force instructions, with regard to movement of aircraft, support equipment, and evacuation of flight line personnel. Decisions will be made based on safeguarding personnel first, followed by protecting aircraft, equipment, and other resources. Military Grades: E7 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Months Required: 36 Experience, education or training furnishing technical information, assistance, and advice concerning facilities, machinery, methods, materials, and standards for production. Experience developing and/or administering provisions or regulations covering such matters as materials allocation. Experience coordinating with civilian companies the results of on-site reviews and findings, recommending resolution to contract deficiencies, may include audit, financial analysis, and recertification. Experience, education or training program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the business or industry position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Education You must meet the following Education requirement to qualify for this position: A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field; or At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
