Job Duties:- Prepare accurate architectural drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.- Create the initial schematic designs for client approval.- Identify and communicate potential design problems.- Assess final designs for compliance with requirements of designer and client.- Design and generate 2D and 3D technical and theatrical drawings and renderings using CAD software programs, such as AutoCAD 2D/3D and 3D Max Studio.- Create and manipulate graphic files using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and similar software.- Draft construction technical documents and theatrical drawings under the direction of each show’s Project Manager.- Collaborate with the Project Manager, Technical Producer, Contractors, and the Design Team for each project and maintain proper technical documentation. Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Design, Architecture, or a related field.- Two years of experience in a Technical Draftsperson, Theatrical Designer, or similar role. Experience must include:* Two years of experience creating architectural drawings of houses and buildings, including construction details and material counting.* Two years of experience creating theatrical drawings, including breakdown wall details, laser cut drawing files, and material list counting files.* Two years of experience troubleshooting design problems with clients.* Two years of experience in theatrical fabrication and industrial design that includes furniture and scenic shows.* Two years of experience using AutoCAD 2D and 3D, Vector Works, 3DMAX, InDesign, and Rhino.* One year of experience conducting compliance audits.Please send CVs to employment2024@kadaninc.com and reference code DFT2401.
