Scope:

  • The Quality Engineer will be responsible for applying and maintaining QMS requirements for sustainability and continual improvement of the manufactured products as well as implement IATF practices in the manufacturing environment. This is an opportunity for a newer, entry level engineer to utilize prior IATF and ISO knowledge to gain exposure int he manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities:

  • Apply and maintain quality management system requirements and standards for sustainability and continual improvement of the manufactured products.

  • Create and/or update required process and system documentation

  • Manage and maintain Complaint / CAPA system software

  • Lead Problem solving and root cause analysis and its documentation for both internal and external issues

  • Support engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance

  • Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.

  • Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.

  • Knowledge of AIAG APQP processes

  • Report on quality issues, trends and losses.

  • Participate in internal and external quality audits, including second party audits as required.

  • Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems

    Qualifications/Experience:

Required:

  • Engineering degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical; or equivalent experience.

  • Six (6) months – three (3) years of quality engineering experience within an IATF or ISO:9001 manufacturing environment.

  • Familiar with LEAN, APQP, PPAP, and FMEAs.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Ability to interpret statistical data for analysis

  • Strong time management skills and ability to set priorities effectively

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to interact with customers and vendors at all levels
