ANCHOR QEA, LLC Water Resources Engineer in Seattle, Washington

Title: Water Resources Engineer Location: Seattle, Tacoma, or Bellingham, Washington Job Type: Regular Full-time What's the Opportunity? Anchor QEA is seeking a water resources engineer to help contribute to our backlog of water resources engineering work in the Pacific Northwest. We are particularly interested in an individual who has a strong technical background in hydrology and hydraulics, a desire to learn and develop with a growing company, and a willingness to support a wide variety of water resources projects. The ideal candidate would be able to perform technical work, including technical studies and engineering design work. The candidate would work with other technical staff to support water resources, civil engineering design, and habitat restoration projects in the Pacific Northwest. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Perform technical analyses and support the development of civil engineering design documents for water resources management, water supply, water conveyance, water storage, stormwater, and habitat restoration projects. Perform calculations and complete hydrologic and hydraulic modeling in support of water resources projects. Prepare written reports and technical studies. Support development of civil engineering drawings, technical specifications, and opinions of probable cost. What Are We Looking For? Ideal candidates will have the following: A Master's Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering (or equivalent). 0-4 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, water resource planning and management, and design and construction of water resource projects. A willingness to work on a variety of tasks, ranging from hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to development of drawings, specifications, and opinions of cost for a variety of water resources, civil engineering design, and habitat restoration projects. Experience with a diverse range of hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and design software packages such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, WaterCAD, and/or similar pacakges. Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Self-motivation, drive, and proactive communication. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate and a plan to obtain a Washington PE license within the next 4-5 years. What Can You Expect?
