Harborview Medical Center – Radiology - VASCULAR has an outstanding opportunity for a VASCULAR/TCD LAB SUPERVISOR .

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Responsible for day-to-day program operations and processes for the Cerebrovascular Laboratory and Vascular Lab. Responsible for staff clinical practice and education related to all aspects of HMC policies, procedures, priorities, regulatory and statutory compliance. Supervises Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in the Cerebrovascular and Vascular Laboratory to ensure the highest quality of non-invasive ultrasound exams, along with continues profession development for self and others. Further, serves as a role model, provides guidance to staff, including performance review and evaluation of performance.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Advanced diagnostic imaging, specialized clinical expertise. Radiology Services at Harborview Medical Center offers a full complement of radiology tests and imaging procedures, including nuclear medicine and interventional radiology (angiography).

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Develops and oversees departmental cost center to assure alliance with and adherence to the organization’s mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and the institution’s pillar goals. Emphasizing patients are first, service excellence, patient safety, staff safety and organizational integration, the supervisor leads the department in overall program development and service priorities. Provides leadership for the unit and departmental activities that promote: • Effectively managing, developing, and evaluating the competence and satisfaction of the assigned workforce. • Effective operational problem solving and communication at all levels. • Effective interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration and service coordination. • Effective evaluation of departmental practices polices and continuous process improvement. • Effective planning and evaluation of space, resources, numbers, and skills of staff to fulfill mission. • Effective management of positive patient experience.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS - Completion of a training program accredited by the American Medical Association - Committee on Allied Health Education (AMA-CAHEA) for vascular ultrasound AND Possess current registration as a Registered Vascular Technologist through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers AND Three years of experience performing vascular technology studies OR Equivalent education/experience.
