Job Description
AECOM is seeking a US National Logistics Practice Leader to be based in Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Seattle, WA; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; or Denver, CO.
AECOM holds a significant and growing market share in the North American logistics market, working primarily with Fortune 50 clients. We are strategically growing this practice to keep pace with market demand and are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented practice leader to grow this sector across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced leader to lead a multidisciplinary team, leveraging the breadth of AECOM’s global capabilities.
This role demands a client-focused leader who is articulate, strategic, and capable of delivering both exceptional service and business results. Success will also rely upon the leader’s ability to build upon our existing practice, identify areas of opportunity and organize our business to pursue those opportunities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
High quality, timely, and profitable delivery of US national logistics design and specialty consulting (i.e. sustainability strategy, goods movement, etc.) portfolio.
Influence and implement a US logistics market strategy, utilizing AECOM’s global teams and capabilities
Manage or provide oversight on a portfolio of projects or programs of significant size and complexity, and significant financial impact.
Lead and grow logistics due diligence, design, and construction administration team and practice
Work closely and collaboratively with AECOM’s Global and Regional Market Sector Leaders (Primarily Europe and Latin America) to share resources, augment capabilities, and bring the best of AECOM to each and every project.
Work with regional managing principals to hire new staff and cross-train existing staff to deliver logistics due diligence and design projects, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, leadership, and ownership within the team
Grow existing clients in partnership with global technology market sector leader and technology client account managers
Participate in and help drive innovation workstreams to differentiate AECOM and address market changes, challenges, and opportunities
Oversee production of winning proposals (both technical and cost)
Prepare and lead client presentations and interviews
Refine existing delivery strategies to improve predictability, quality, and efficiency.
Serve as point of escalation for all US logistics client issues.
Collaborate with Project and Program Management (PPM) business line to create synergies with AECOM’s construction management, commissioning, and quantity surveying practices.
Collaborate with Environment business line to deliver site selection due diligence services.
Build US relationships with senior leaders at global logistics companies alongside the global technology market sector leader and technology client account managers
Attract and secure new clients and build the opportunity pipeline alongside the global market sector leader and client account managers
Travel as-needed to support project, client, and team needs.
KPIs for this role would include project bookings, executed net service revenue, gross margin, and quality.
Provide thought leadership ideas internally and externally.
Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect
This role will report to AECOM’s West Region Strategy and Growth Lead.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in building Engineering or Architecture or related field+ 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience delivering large logistics projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading teams
Demonstrated experience developing strong client relationships

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $170,000.00 - $240,000.00.
