The AWS Global Network Deployment (GND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical infrastructure program manager (TIPM) to drive Data Center and Network Capacity deployment efficiencies. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.
Key job responsibilities
Monitor the network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
Work with stakeholders (Work with stakeholders (vendor management/sourcing/planning & infrastructure delivery builders/senior management) to define requirements and processes.
Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs needed.
Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
End to end responsibility for the program’s execution and success.
Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.
Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
- Fundamental understanding of Data Center IT Infrastructure.
- Writes clear and detailed functional specifications as well as experience working with or managing technical portfolios, programs or projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure. (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging at both the technical and executive levels.
Makes optimal tradeoffs between schedule, resources and scope, and applies advanced technical and business knowledge to address major risks, challenges and obstacles.
Anticipates, identifies and drives resolution of technical challenges and interdependencies to prevent downstream problems.
Self-motivated problem solver; able to thrive in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, adapts to change quickly.
Direct experience with the deployment of AWS network cabling and infrastructure.
Strong listening skills; demonstrated ability to ask effective questions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
