Blue Origin LLC Technical Project Manager II - Cost Estimator in Seattle, Washington

As part of a passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for providing cost estimates for parts and assemblies in your area of expertise across all Blue Origin space programs. Your efforts will directly inform design-for-manufacture analysis, design-to-cost targets, and supplier negotiations. You will be supporting cost reduction initiatives across the company. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Qualifications: 3+ years of direct experience estimating one or more of the following types of aerospace components: Machined parts, Castings, Forgings, Sheet metal, Formed parts, Tubes, Composites, AM parts, Assemblies, Avionics, Harnesses, PCBA, Batteries. Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and ability to evaluate and analyze associated costs based on part drawings. Demonstrated track record of success in providing Design for Manufacturability feedback for engineering, supporting supplier negotiations, and reviewing supplier quotes. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally within a geographically disperse organization. Attention to detail and high quality of deliverables. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: 5+ years of estimating components for the Aerospace or Space industry. Experience developing and utilizing complex estimating software tools and methods. Prior experience is a plus. Experience with aerospace procurement, government compliance and quality systems.
