Passion for our mission and vision is required! This position is part of the Fluids Team of the Lunar Transportation business unit. As part of a growing, hardworking, and curious team of design engineers, you'll be deployed to programs that shape the future of Blue Origin. Your skill in the design, modelling, and drafting of safe, reliable, ready to install hardware will be crucial to providing safe reliable transportation to the moon! Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Create and maintain advanced 3D models, drawings and product structures. Create CAD models of fluids and propulsion components, tubing, and support structures Create Interface Control Models and Interface Control Drawings Work with engineers and analysts to create and iterate designs of fluids systems Release engineering models, drawings, and documents in Windchill Incorporate drafting standards and standard drawing notes based on company, program, and industry standards Perform model and drawing check activities during release reviews Qualifications: Experience working on aerospace (or similar) development programs Experience withtop-downdesign methods Experience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings Strong mechanical design and integration skills Proficient in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Experience in drawing generation, checking, and release processes Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: 7+ years of experience releasing drawings in aerospace (or similar) environment Knowledge of standard components, installation, and fabrication methods of fluids systems (tube stock, fittings, valves, tube bending, welding, etc.) Experience working in a multi-functional team with engineers, designers, and analysts to optimize complex designs Experience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, and Y14.41 Compensation Range for: CA applicants is $94,860.00-$132,804.00;CO applicants is $86,955.00-$121,737.00;WA applicants is $94,860.00-$132,804.00 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
