Amazon Support Engineer, AWS Training & Certification in Seattle, Washington

This job is a unique opportunity to help build and support the next generation of learning experiences from the ground up using the same modern native AWS technologies we enable our customers to learn.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive the delivery of critical engineering feedback and design improvements and support systems across teams through requirement tracking, design, development and test.

  • Own and drive triage of issues

  • Partner with quality and design engineering teams to close feedback loops

  • Engage with customer teams to understand opportunities for process improvement, and drive changes

  • Work with other engineers to find innovative solutions within fixed design space.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience

  • Experience scripting in modern program languages

  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

  • Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow

  • Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications

  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system

  • Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $182,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
