Responsibilities: Perform hands-on forensic investigations, condition assessments, and construction administration, which may include documenting distress, performance evaluation, diagnostic field testing, collecting data and samples, and troubleshooting details Analyze field data and research modern and historic construction documents, governing codes, and design guidelines to facilitate analysis, problem-solving, and repair design Complete analyses using a combination of advanced analysis software and engineering calculations Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final client deliverables, including written reports, calculation packets, construction documents, repair design details (developed by hand and in CAD), and project specifications Interface with project teams, clients, contractors, and other architectural and engineering disciplines Assume responsibility for key aspects of projects and complete assignments with limited oversight, under the guidance of licensed professionals Contribute to company-wide objectives through involvement in office and company development initiatives, continuing education and in-person training workshops, in-house Technical Resource Groups (TRGs) and research projects, and relevant industry committees and professional organizations Qualifications / Competencies: Three to seven years of relevant industry experience, with a demonstrated interest in the investigation, construction, rehabilitation, and repair design of various modern and historic structures, building systems, and construction materials Bachelor's degree or higher in architecture, architectural engineering, civil engineering, or a related field Demonstrated progress towards attaining relevant licensure/certifications appropriate for experience level; licensure as a Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Washington a plus Strong technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skills Team player mindset with a willingness to proactively take on various roles and responsibilities Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands, while maintaining productive interpersonal relationships and a high standard of excellence, integrity, and attention to detail Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
