The Agent Platforms and Experiences team in Google DeepMind builds end-to-end agentic experiences that extend the cutting edge AI frontier, such as Project Astra (our next gen universal assistant). We build platforms that enable us to iterate rapidly with our user base to refine agent experience until they become indispensable, and work with PA partners to scale out successful experiences.

The role:
We’re looking for someone to lead our org’s efforts in stabilizing and scaling our agent orchestration platform, to explore and build agent experiences on top of it, and to enable other teams to do so as well, in deep partnership with the both GDM and PA teams.
Key responsibilities:
Act as TLM for our platform efforts.
Work closely with partner teams to identify and anticipate key challenges and opportunities, prioritize these, and develop engineering roadmaps to address them.
Lead an engineering team to execute on these roadmaps.
Prototype and build out agentic CUJs.
About you:
In order to set you up for success as a Software Engineering Lead/Manager at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, with 2 years of experience in people management.
In addition, the following would be an advantage:
Experience in ML systems integration and evaluation.
Experience in Google server development and deployment.
Experience with Google’s release processes.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $189,000 - $300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
