Amazon Sr. Program Manager, GIP Selection in Seattle, Washington
Description
Looking for an opportunity to make a global impact? The Global Purchasing Program's charter is to rapidly expand Amazon’s retail presence globally, partnering closely with compliance, category management, technology, and product teams to deliver the world’s largest selection to our international customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the selection strategy of our Global Imports Programs (GIP), in partnership with internal stakeholders across geographies. Your work will directly contribute to several orders of magnitude improvement in the share of Direct Imports business for Amazon retail.
Key job responsibilities
Own a roadmap of initiatives to improve imports selection
Partner with stakeholders in destination countries to understand their selection needs, and translate them into actionable growth plans.
Improve customer experience through catalog quality improvements, and selection performance through initiatives that drive discoverability and conversion.
Pilot new and scrappy ideas to test their viability, with the goal to improve selection and performance. Gather learnings from these experiments to inform the product roadmap and automation requirements.
Lead weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews with stakeholders, highlighting business impact and product adoption metrics.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Proficiency in SQL
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
