Job Information
Amazon Sr. Product Manager Technical, AWS Commerce Platform in Seattle, Washington
Description
AWS has the most services and more features within those services than any other cloud provider; this ranges from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage and databases, to emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and analytics, to the Internet of Things. The AWS Commerce Platform (AWS CP) team is responsible for building both back-end services and customer-facing solutions such as custom pricing and billing models, tax calculations, customer usage insights, as well as payment lifecycle management. We run massively scaled services that enable our customers to transform their business by managing, controlling, and optimizing their IT costs. You will have the opportunity to influence hundreds of millions of customers globally, creating features used by thousands of companies worldwide, and contributing to the continued success and expansion of AWS.
We are seeking a talented Sr. Product Manager to drive the portfolio of Security tools and services. This role is inherently cross-functional: you will work closely with operations, engineering, program, design, and leadership teams to bring products and features to market. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, has strong attention to detail, and is able to influence others through excellent written and verbal communications skills.
As a Sr. Product Manager of our Security Platform, you will be working to:
Define the product strategy for the portfolio of products that the AWS Commerce Platform Security Team will build to improve the security posture of our internal and external tools and services.
Set the long-term vision, own the product roadmap and align company-wide dependencies across multiple product teams.
Build and maintain the AWS Commerce Platform Security Team's roadmap and prioritization.
Define clear feature definition through business requirements and working with software development teams to build new customer experiences.
Dive deep on customer data and feedback to ensure the team makes the right trade-offs and protects high standards on behalf of the customer.
Move fast, innovate and find ways to simplify.
We are looking for someone who possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy with a big-picture vision as well as the drive and attention to detail to transform the vision into a reality. You must have a good understanding of the market trends, and the ability to translate these into actionable insights and customer benefits. You will need to be able to influence internal and external stakeholders and develop a results-oriented mindset by taking large and complex projects/products and breaking them down into manageable pieces for delivery. To be successful, you will need to be able to communicate well with different functional groups, developers, and business owners.
