Description

Corporate Services Security (CPSS) is responsible for securing the applications and services that power Amazon’s countless global Finance, HR, Legal and Communications processes. We perform security reviews and assessments, we design and implement custom detections and controls, and we manage security events to help minimize disruption. We build applications and automations to enhance our operations and initiatives. We engage proactively to understand our stakeholder’s security risks and business needs, and we partner across security teams to provide the right solutions. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Sr Mgr, Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead our strategic, cross-functional security planning and reporting programs that elevate our stakeholder engagement.

As a Sr Mgr, TPM in our team, you will build processes, tooling, and content that help our stakeholders understand and enhance their security posture. You will partner with other leaders in Corporate Services Security and Amazon Security to develop the strategy for and drive delivery of our security objectives while measuring and reporting progress in a perpetually customer-obsessed way. You are adept at identifying, prioritizing and communicating security risks, and you have a proven track record of collaboration and program delivery to mitigate risks. You dig in with technical teams to help them find solutions to program goals. You are proactive in removing roadblocks, pave the way for innovation, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are able to handle business escalations with a data-driven approach to build trust with security, service and business teams. Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute CPSS’ strategic planning and budgeting mechanisms that enable us to design and lead risk-mitigating, stakeholder-specific security initiatives.

  • Partner with security and stakeholder teams to define and track objectives that drive enhancements across security domains such as access control, secure response, vulnerability management, and secure software development.

  • Leveraging automation, continuously analyze and improve our internal- and stakeholder-facing measurements that provide security and business leadership insight into performance of security programs and controls.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve our stakeholder-facing reporting mechanisms to communicate security risks and issues, and drive accountability for targeted security outcomes.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively to build trust with partner security teams and stakeholders.

  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while driving teams to complete goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Management, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related discipline, or 15+ years’ equivalent technology experience

  • Effective written and oral communication skills across multiple levels of personnel, both business and technical

  • 5+ years working in a technical program delivery role with a solid grasp of security fundamentals

  • Experience with AWS products and services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $175,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $302,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
