Amazon Sr. Manager - Program Management, Rufus in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Amazon Rufus Editorial team is seeking a Senior Program Manager who is passionate about technology, innovation, and improving the customer experience. This role is inherently high-visibility and highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration and influence across product, design, science, and engineering.

A successful candidate will thrive in ambiguity, bringing process and discipline to a highly dynamic and fluid environment. This person will excel at managing and influencing broad stakeholder groups, establish best-practices that can be scaled across the Conversational Shopping organization, and have the ability to crisply communicate deliverables.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead key, strategic projects for large, complex editorial workstreams, identifying, assessing, and prioritizing opportunities based on strategic goals, business needs, and customer value

  • Organize and structure teams to deliver and execute program milestones

  • Consult with key partners to determine program prioritization, while sourcing and coordinating resources

  • Proactively monitor progress against goals while anticipating and mitigating risks, creating and owning solutions, and successfully resolving issues

  • Act as a subject matter expert by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge to guide the establishment of new processes and systems

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of team management experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • 10+ years of program or project management experience

  • 10+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
