Description

Are you comfortable developing and leading new businesses in the loyalty, credit card, and installments space? Do you want to lead the development of new revenue streams for Amazon that will have a significant and measurable impact on the bottom line? Amazon's 3rd Party Payment Products (3P) business needs an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our business development efforts.

We are currently seeking a senior business development professional to help us grow the 3P business by winning new issuing partners to connect to the platform and through the creation of strategic partnerships.

As a Business Development Manager, you will primarily be accountable the strategy to grow the 3P business and developing partnerships/signing deals with banks, airlines, hotels and other companies. To achieve success, cross-team coordination, project management, a basic knowledge of technology and executive presentation skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: a) business development; b) business management, including creating business strategy and managing program metrics; c) credit card, installments or rewards program product management, including understanding customer behaviors and program economics.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have successful personal attributes including creativity, leadership, superior analytical skills and ability to influence outcomes both internally and externally. This opportunity requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The successful candidate will find practical solutions to complicated problems without sacrificing quality. The candidate is entrepreneurial, self-sufficient and results oriented.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Manager with Amazon 3rd Party Payment Products, your key responsibilities will include:

· Sourcing, negotiating and signing deals with partners globally.

· Creating a business development strategy and framework in support of the product vision and delivery timeline and work closely with internal product teams.

· Expanding the geographic footprint of payments business.

· Expanding the portfolio of 3P partners.

· Defining key partnership deal terms with business, legal, and technical teams.

· Leveraging established relationships across Amazon to drive 3P growth.

· Working with the technology organization to establish integration plans and timelines.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
