In this role, you will be responsible for scoping new opportunities and mining existing corporate partnerships to drive sales. As this unit continues to grow, you'll work across multiple internal groups to develop innovative solutions that will deliver on the needs of customers in a start-up like environment. This is a unique opportunity for a true self-starter and sales professional to continue building a new business inside a firmly established organization.

This person should have an entrepreneurial spirit and feel comfortable working in ambiguity. A background in selling into healthcare and hospitals at the enterprise level is strongly valued.

What you'll do here:

• Develop and execute a robust business development strategy for revenue growth and market expansion.

• Cultivate relationships with collaborators, customers, and team members to drive new business opportunities.

• Build and manage a pipeline of prospects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new initiatives.

• Analyze market trends and competition to identify strategic growth opportunities.

• Create and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations to potential partners.

• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development activities, aligning with company goals.

• Represent Cengage at industry events to enhance brand presence and network with potential clients.

Skills you will need here:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in business development or sales

• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and successfully implementing sales strategies.

• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, paying close attention to detail.

• Experience selling to senior levels within organizations – directors, VPs, executives

• Experience with Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn for prospecting & social selling

• Experience working independently in a remote setting

• Willingness to travel as needed.

Desired

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience selling in healthcare/education/HR/staffing solutions or other related workforce development spaces preferred

• Experience selling into major healthcare organizations

• Prior experience in B2B sales is a plus.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$88,600.00 - $141,800.00 USD
