Description

We are seeking a Sourcing Recruiter to support hiring for the Global Tax Organization. The Sourcer will work with the current Recruiting Business Partner (RBP) to fulfill the hiring demand within NAMER (US & CAN). The Global Tax team is one of the largest tax departments in the world, comparable in size to many large accounting firms. It operates across multiple continents and countries, leveraging diversity to facilitate tax innovations. The Global Tax team at Amazon consists of +1,000 team members across 27 countries, with 58% of the customer senior leadership based in North America. This role focuses on candidate generation for primarily senior level non-tech roles in the Tax, as well as the Finance and Planning, Product Management, Program Management, and Planning and Development functions. This is a great opportunity for a Sourcer interested in a rotation to support a new business lane, and offers the opportunity to develop fungible skills hiring in new job families and niche roles.

Key job responsibilities

  • Sourcing Planning: Analyze data to set milestones and develop differentiated sourcing strategies to build robust talent pipelines for tax roles, both fungible and niche. Leverage backwards-mapped sourcing plans to set clear expectations.

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Expertly manage partnerships with hiring managers, aligning on candidate profiles and minimizing churn in job requirements.

  • Recruiting Strategy: Use data to make recommendations and influence the overall tax hiring strategy, such as determining when to utilize pod hiring vs one-off hiring approaches.

  • Program Management: Execute sourcing plans for tax hiring efforts in parallel, ensuring an efficient and effective top-of-funnel (No PODs).

  • Hiring Team Engagement & Education: Take a lead role in optimizing the phone screening process, creating templates and training hiring teams on best practices.

A day in the life

  • Review current sourcing processes and identify best practices for consistent operation. Determine past weaknesses and correct gaps in process documentation.

  • Educate hiring managers and interviewers on sourcing methodologies to improve their hiring effectiveness and provide excellent candidate experiences.

  • Use data, funnel metrics, and technical expertise to accurately identify, engage, and assess tax candidates of various levels.

  • Leverage external talent pipeline and market trends data to have productive discussions with Recruiters and client teams about sourcing opportunities and process improvements.

  • Provide prep calls and communications to ensure successful phone screen and onsite interviews for tax candidates.

  • Optimize external recruiting materials, like LinkedIn profiles and job postings, to better target the tax talent pool.

  • Partner closely with the Recruiting Business Partner (RBP) to manage tax requisitions, including intake, posting, applicant review, candidate assessment, interview scheduling, and candidate negotiations.

  • Attend weekly 1-on-1s and team meetings with the RBP to discuss funnel health, candidates progress, and sourcing strategies.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical recruiting in high volume and high hiring bar environment experience

  • Experience building candidate sourcing and closing strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships

  • Experience creating, measuring and scaling workflow among candidates, hiring managers and the recruiting team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $64,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $138,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
