ZILLOW INC Senior Software Development Engineer in Seattle, Washington
Zillow, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for its Seattle, Washington office.
Job Duties: Work with the leadership team closely to drive the technical strategy and roadmap for the adoption of new technologies and standards in the platform. Identify cultural and process improvement opportunities. Improve on technical excellence and mentor other engineers. Collaborate and effectively connect with multi-functional teams comprising of business partners, engineers, and product management to produce the best solutions possible. Find new and better ways to deliver quality products and strive for continuous improvement. Architect, build, and maintain high-quality API, microservice, highly available services at scale. Set standard methodologies and improve for testing, code quality, and maintainability. Debug applications in various environments. Telecommuting is permitted.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field
Experience Requirements: Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in each of the following:
- Developing microservices and building high-quality backend software systems
- Designing, coding, and debugging software applications in various environments
- Crafting user experiences using programming languages such JavaScript or Typescript
Leading the design, development, and launch of highly scalable services and web applications
