NOTE : This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area. You must be willing to work in the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 3 days/week in order to be considered for this position.

About the NPG Operations Team:

We support the day-to-day operations for NPG teams across people, process, and systems support. Our Senior Project Managers support each cross-functional business unit with their aligned initiatives, team documentation, and process improvements to drive execution excellence. Our mission is to lead and advocate for NPG teams through continuous operational evolution.

We’re looking for an individual that is passionate and results-oriented with a proven track record of on-time, on-budget execution and delivery. The Sr Project Manager will directly partner with the Senior Vice President of NPG Merchandising on key strategic initiatives across Merchandising and Brand Strategy. The ideal candidate will combine knowledge of Merchandising, Design and Product Development best practices with experience in driving solutions through project lifecycles.

A day in the life…

  • Identify areas of opportunity across the Merchandising functions for efficiency, documented processes, and improvements in execution.

  • Establish an operational cadence of the merchandising business by bringing all the data and metrics for the core leadership and executive teams.

  • Conduct primary and secondary research; develop quantitative models to generate insights from data that support business strategies.

  • Manage assigned initiatives and drive projects to timely implementation; analyze variances and initiate corrective action as needed.

  • Support strategy development by coordinating with various teams to align on brand vision and business objectives.

  • Create and deliver presentations, including storytelling and data visualization, to communicate project status and strategic initiatives effectively.

  • Ensure strong stakeholder management by partnering with different levels of leadership on their initiatives and maintaining consistent follow-up.

  • Support relevant documentation and training as needed, including templates, job aids, and onboarding documentation.

  • Leverage data-driven insights, market trends, and past sales performance to proactively recommend strategic merchandising initiatives that drive sales and enhance customer engagement.

You own this if you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical related field and a minimum of five years’ experience in project management; or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience is required.

  • 3+ years of experience in Retail Merchandising.

  • Working knowledge of project lifecycle fundamentals or different project management methodologies experience is required; PMI certification preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of Confluence, Jira, or other collaboration software.

  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and PowerPoint skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships, effectively communicate with teams, business partners, and external vendors.

  • Proven ability to multi-task and drive many medium to large projects while rapidly adapting to changes in priority.

  • Experience with FlexPLM and NuORDER is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of basic requirements documentation, quality, and validation methods is preferred.

  • Understanding of business analysis, reporting, and data fluency; proficiency in creating reports in Excel or Tableau is nice to have but not required.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $80,000 - $155,000 annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
