We are seeking an exceptional security leader for the Amazon Dedicated Security Team (DST). As a security engineering leader, you will lead teams responsible for protecting Amazon's subsidiaries and ensuring they meet our high security standards while driving automation, integration efficiency, and adoption of Amazon's paved path solutions.
Our security team collaborates with subsidiary teams to ensure systems are secure by default and deliver a delightful customer experience. Further, this role provides a unique opportunity to partner with merger and acquisition teams and assist organizations with onboarding to Amazon with security-by-design.

Key job responsibilities
Security Strategy & Architecture
Design and execute Information Security strategy
Develop and maintain security frameworks enabling rapid, secure, integration of new subsidiaries
Drive adoption and integration of Amazon's paved path security solutions across subsidiaries
Create and implement automated solutions to accelerate subsidiary onboarding and enhance operational efficiency
Establish robust security monitoring and compliance programs
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop teams of security engineers, and technical program managers (TPMs)
Manage all aspects of team hiring, performance evaluation, and career development
Provide technical and interpersonal coaching to maintain a motivated, innovative, and effective team
Monitor and report on key results and team initiatives
Establish and maintain security KPIs and metrics for reporting to senior leadership
Partnership & Advisory
Partner with subsidiary engineering teams to implement risk-reducing security measures
Collaborate with partners on information security issues, providing strategic leadership and insights
Serve as a trusted adviser and security expert across diverse industries, demonstrating customer obsession while effectively balancing security requirements with business objectives

Basic Qualifications
Have 10+ years of relevant security experience
Possess deep expertise in security engineering and architecture
Demonstrate strong leadership abilities and experience building high-performing teams
Excel in project management and communication
Preferred Qualifications
Possess experience managing security programs for multiple business units or subsidiaries
Have experience implementing automation and security tooling at scale
Have experience with security compliance frameworks and regulations
Understand cloud security principles and Amazon's security ecosystem
Experience working with diverse stakeholders, across industries, and serving as an adviser and expert.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $187,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $324,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
