Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Procurement department at Milliman, Global Corporate Services (GCS) is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Procurement. The person in this role will report to Director, Procurement. The ideal candidate in this role will be responsible for sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation to optimize spend and mitigate risk for Milliman, Inc RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage, lead and mentor a team of Procurement professionals. Analyze category spend and recommend cost saving opportunities. Collaborate with business partners to understand their unique requirements and deliver opportunities for process optimization and/or cost savings. Create and manage complex sourcing events for various products and services. Draft, negotiate and review vendor contracts. Manage and cultivate relationships with vendors, as well as internal stakeholders. Facilitate the vendor management process for key vendors, including: Implement Procurement management software and/or automated procurement systems, including vendor portal development and delivery. Develop and facilitate the change management process for new system and processes. Develop and deliver process/system training. Support continued development of Supplier Diversity Program and other DEI initiatives. Develop, review and approve purchase orders from approved requisitions. Manage and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies. Additional duties as required. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in the field of business, finance, or similar fields (required). The ideal candidate must have 10+ years of work experience managing the sourcing process, including all aspects of strategy development, sourcing, negotiation, contract review and execution. The ideal candidate must have expert working knowledge of current enterprise IT technologies (hardware and software) across all indirect spend categories. The ideal candidate must have recent experience delivering enterprise procurement processes and systems. Must have excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal). Must have the ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment under high stress, time critical deadlines. Must possess a continuous improvement philosophy and approach to delivering outcomes. Must have proven cost savings delivery, either via negotiated cost savings, or process optimization. Must have the ability to deliver Procurement AI to the organization. Must have demonstrated proficiency in Excel and/or Power BI modeling. Must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment. LOCATION: This is a remote position.
