Senior Manager, Data Scientist, Analytics, DoorDash, Inc., Seattle, WA.

Oversee aspects of data strategy and quantitative analysis to support and implement high-quality data-driven, decisions that support DoorDash's business planning and product development and produce full-cycle analytics reporting and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools. Facilitate data-driven decision with senior management. Partner with Product Managers and Operations to execute our roadmap and identify new opportunities to 10x our growth. Receive high visibility from our senior leadership team.  Organize, plan, identify, and measure levers to help move essential metrics; optimize data mining strategies; and deliver value-added and meaningful recommendations. Propose solutions and strategies to drive DoorDash's analytics designs and use statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate findings; provide insights to help business and product leaders understand marketplace dynamics; and user behaviors, and long-term trends. Apply a proven data-driven approach to identify essential metrics; build executive facing dashboards to track data; and implement high-quality data-driven decisions. Manage, mentor, and guide junior data scientists in the application of complex problem-solving methodologies, strategies, techniques, and best practices to ensure data integrity. Represent the DoorDash's Analytics team in key meetings and business reviews with executive team. Telecommuting Permitted. (SMDSA-S-102-WA)

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $219,200 - $328,800/yr. Standard company benefits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of experience in the field of data science or business/data analytics.

In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics or closely related quantitative discipline and seven (7) years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in the field of data science or business / data analytics.

Qualifying experience must include three (3) years in at least five (5) of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

1. Forecasting methodologies such as funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, or regression models;
2. SQL database queries;
3. ETL;
4. A/B Testing;
5. Statistical analysis including hypothesis testing, experimentation, or regressions using statistical packages such as Matlab, R, SAS or Python;
6. Business Intelligence (BI) or analytics & visualization tools such as Chartio, Looker, Tableau;
7. Machine learning;

8. Performing simulation.

    

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Up to 10% domestic travel based on business need.
