Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

The AWS Capacity Delivery, Supportability and Analytics Team (CDSA) team within AIS is looking for a Sr. Manager - Data Engineering and Business Analytics. The CDSA team is responsible for infrastructure supply and demand strategy for AWS's global GenAI and non-GenAI infrastructure footprint spanning 105 availability zones, 33 geographical regions and serving over 245 countries and territories. Data-driven decision-making is at the core of Amazon’s culture. Your work will directly impact the decisions and strategy of the entire AIS org and our customers. We are looking for a Sr. Manager - Data Engineering and Business Analytics to drive the data infrastructure and business intelligence solutions for AWS supply planning, capacity delivery and GenAI supportability. You will be responsible for managing teams that build and maintain our Data Lake and Data Warehouse Systems, which is being built using a serverless architecture, with native AWS components including Redshift Spectrum, Athena, S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, SNS, CloudWatch and more. You will also be responsible for building new business intelligence solutions end-to-end. You will create reporting and analysis that the business will use to measure all aspects of operational performance and cost, and drive both incremental improvement to existing tools and processes and large-scale changes in our tools, user interfaces, processes and overall business organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, experience in developing reporting and analytical infrastructures, strong communication skills, executive presence and an ability to work effectively with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment and highly ambiguous work space.

The charter will involve managing diverse teams of business intelligence engineers, data engineers and system development engineers. This role is inherently cross-functional and requires the ability to think big and collaborate with others as you work closely with teams across AWS Infrastructure.
