This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight. In this role, you will support the development, and operations of an avionics systems integration test lab that meets Blue Origin's needs for a variety of liquid propulsion rocket engines. The avionics subsystem includes the controller electronics, software, harness interconnects, instrumentation and electronic exciter used on the engine for ignition and powered flight. You support your team through the installation and operation of an Integrated Hardware-in-the-Loop (IHIL) test environment. Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of relevant experience Experience with designing, building, commissioning, and/or operating complex aerospace testing equipment (hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, safety systems or electronics) Is trained, authorized, and has demonstrated proficiency to manufacture parts on the EFL equipment including: Lathes Milling machines Drill presses Saws Sanders Skilled electrical design, fabrication, assembly, commissioning, and troubleshooting Ability to lead and mentor a team of technicians Experience with high pressure systems including hydraulics Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
