Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Support Finance in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst on the AWS Support Finance team. This role will help drive AWS Support's efforts to improve forecasting and variance analysis, as well as dive deep to develop new key performance indicators.

The successful candidate will be highly analytical and possess a strong passion for personal accountability, setting high standards, and accuracy. AWS Support needs individuals that bring the Finance experience, knowledge and the entrepreneurial aptitude to accelerate decision making and management of the business. Also needed is the intellectual capacity to produce innovative ideas and analysis, and the willingness to do the heavy lifting to implement those decisions.

Key job responsibilities

· Financial planning, forecasting, analysis, processes and controls to support management reporting.

· Drive the business to develop challenging goals, business plans and financial plans and then help the business achieve these results.

· Play a critical role in cost management, controllership, decision-making, and metrics development.

· Partner with the finance leaders to produce monthly and quarterly business updates for AWS’s support executives and business partners.

. Lead the development of financial models that aid in key decision-making

. Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
