  • Report directly to the Athletic Director or their designee on roster management, revenue share cap management, student-athlete contract negotiations, coaches contract negotiations, and NCAA, conference, and University compliance.

  • This position will be a member of a cap management team.

  • This position requires in-depth knowledge of negotiation strategy, contract proposals and structure, market value analysis, and continuous assessment, tracking, and analysis of the revenue share cap.

  • Required to use strong analytic skills in all areas related to revenue share cap management.

  • Must have a detailed understanding of the market, current contract trends for student-athletes and staff, contract structures, revenue share cap accounting, and NCAA/Conference rules, in addition to an extraordinary attention to detail.ADMINISTRATION: 30%

  • Collaborate with personnel who provide analytic and administrative support to the revenue share program and the cap management team.

  • Develop and manage annual strategic plan for revenue share cap management.

  • Direct and manage the development of research, data, and analysis to support nationally competitive student-athlete recruiting initiatives rooted in revenue sharing and potential NIL opportunities.

  • Direct initiatives to monitor social media & websites for relevant information for revenue sharing analytics, revenue share cap operations and trends, and competitor/peer analysis.OPERATIONS: 70%

  • Ensure institutional compliance with NCAA, Conference, and University policies and rules and relevant state and federal laws.

  • Negotiate and finalize all student-athlete and identified coaching staff contracts.

  • Provide guidance and education on industry best practices for contract negotiating and drafting.

  • Provide student-athletes with education on the topic of selecting an agent and signing agency agreements.

  • Direct the tracking and documentation of all agreements, prioritizing impact on revenue sharing cap, providing oversight of appropriate tracking mechanisms, and communicating daily to ICA staff regarding revenue share cap updates, changes, and impacts. Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and annual status updates and projections related to the revenue share cap.

  • Responsible for directing communication with leadership team, coaches and staff regarding revenue share cap status and changes. Identify and coordinate any needed roster reduction or addition procedures/logistics with administration, coaches, and staff.

  • Communicate with student-athletes and their representatives on questions related to individual contracts and program and department operations related to revenue sharing as needed.

  • Coordinate and review all student-athlete payments with appropriate campus offices and/or conference officials. Ensure accuracy of payments.

  • Collaborate with DAWGS Unleashed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of related experience in professional or college sports organizations. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Juris Doctor degree with 3-5 years legal experience with a law firm and/or comparable as in-house corporate counsel.

  • Experience working with the professional sports salary caps and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Experience negotiating and drafting personnel contracts.

  • Experience with marketing and sponsorship opportunities in sports industries.

  • Experience with market value analysis.
