Amazon Risk Manager in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) team is seeking a Risk Manager who is passionate about establishing Amazon as the world’s most reliable shopping platform for safe and compliant products. This is an opportunity to partner with the Rufus team, Amazon’s new generative AI-powered shopping assistant, to protect Amazon customers from products that are illegal, illegally marketed, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Amazon policies. We need your passion, critical thinking, and innovative ideas to help deliver on our ambitious goals.

Key job responsibilities

A successful candidate will thrive in ambiguity and bringing process to a highly dynamic environment, own policy development and evaluation, and be able to partner with multiple cross-org teams. This role involves codifying and simplifying complex policies, providing guidance for nuanced policy use cases, and the ability to adapt quickly to deliver results.

A day in the life

• Identify and develop policies needed to ensure a consistent store experience for our customers

• Work with the Rufus AI science and tech teams to translate store policies so Rufus can be trained to accurately comply with policy

• Identify and address high risk gaps and monitor potential risk areas

• Evaluate and calibrate policy effectiveness to assess and refine policy outcomes

• Collaborate with global partners to explore additional areas to refine policy and preserve customer trust

• Ensure ongoing governance and discover scalable solutions to increase model training efficiency

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive solutions from concept to implementation for complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree (MBA, MS, etc.) in a business, technical or user-experience oriented field.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
