$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Northwest has an excellent opportunity for a Night Shift Float Nurse to join our Acute Care Float Pool.

SCHEDULE:

  • 3x12 shift schedule

  • Night shifts (7:00pm - 7:30am)

  • Rotating weekend shifts required DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our Float Pool provides short term and long term staffing coverage on our inpatient acute care units, which include our telemetry, medical-surgical, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and surgical services floors. In addition, our team provides nursing support in the Emergency Department. This is a great opportunity to provide bedside care in a role where no two shifts are alike. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside doctors, social workers, care managers, and therapists

  • Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing supervisor

  • Restore patients’ health by following evidence-based nursing practices

  • Identify care needs across a broad spectrum of departments

  • Monitor and administer medications and IVs

  • Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BLS

  • 1 year of acute inpatient hospital nursing experience

  • Prefer 1 year recent critical care experience
