Faculty Practice Plane Services (FPPS) has an outstanding opportunity for a Provider Enrollment Specialist.

This position is Remote POSITION HIGHLIGHTS The Provider Enrollment Specialist is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the process for credentialing and enrollment of all UWP Providers. This individual will build and maintain relationships with an ongoing understanding of requirements (including provider enrollment with Medicare, Medicaid, Out of State Medicaid, Commercial, etc…; review payor policies on enrollment via payor portal) related to pro fee credentialing and enrollment of each associated discipline within the UW School of Medicine. The employee will establish and maintain efficient payer and provider relations and liaise between payers, clinics and academic departments to assure participating status of providers. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain efficient and service-oriented process for credentialing and enrollment across functional and organizational boundaries based on customer and supplier needs and requirements.
Work with departmental managers and various disciplines at each facility to maintain standards for acceptable credentials for providers within the discipline, within overall standards defined by Allied Health Practitioner Credentialing Committee at each facility. In conjunction with Director of Contracting, develop standards for new provider types as necessary
Work claim edit work queues and add PINs/riders to EPIC to ensure claims are released for payment.
Conduct follow-up on claims that are rejected or denied due to practitioner enrollment issues.
Respond to inquiries, customer questions and concerns from UWP staff, providers, patients, payers, and regulatory agencies.
Assess provider specialty and determine requirements to be enrolled with designated payor. Review provider information within MSOW, Epic, and Epic Text to ensure correct information is submitted.
Perform payor audits to ensure provider information is up to date and valid on a month to month basis REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree or equivalent or equivalentAND2 years experience in a medical group practice, hospital, or insurance setting or equivalent ABOUT FACULTY PRACTICE PLAN SERVICES UW Medicine Faculty Practice Plan Services (FPPS) supports UW Physicians (UWP), a practice group for more than 1,800 physicians and other healthcare professionals associated with UW Medicine.
