About the Position: Serves as a Program Manager, Project Manager and Technical Manager responsible for providing project management services, planning and feasibility studies, design, and construction management expertise for military and interagency programs and projects.
Duties
- Manage and direct the efficient and effective accomplishment of the investigating, planning, scope development, design, and construction of major projects for assigned program areas through a matrix management process.
- Identify, coordinate and integrate stakeholders' needs, organizations functions, and other agencies commitments into a comprehensive management plan in support of assigned projects.
- Control and manage project schedule and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations.
- Represent the Commander serving as the District's primary point of contact for assigned projects with sponsor/customer, Federal, State and local government agencies.
- Serve as a Technical Manager on design and engineering projects, including studies, planning and design projects for new construction or major modifications to existing facilities and systems.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement: Community Planner 1. Degree: community planning; or related field such as urban affairs, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, sociology, geography, economics, political science, or public administration that included at least 12 semester hours in the planning process, socioeconomic and physical elements of planning, urban and regional economic analysis, and development finance. Note: Applicants with degrees in related fields, such as those listed above, who do not have the 12 semester hours of specified course work must have had at least 1 year of work experience in community planning acquired under the supervision and guidance of a community planner.

2. Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in one of the above disciplines, or a combination of related courses totaling at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the above disciplines of which at least 12 semester hours were in the planning process, and socioeconomic and physical elements of planning, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
