The School of Education is seeking the immediate appointment of a Project Coordinator to work part-time (.5 FTE) on a five-year, federally funded project. The Project Coordinator (payroll title: Program Coordinator) will support Project Expand Co-Directors, Drs. Beaudoin and Feuerborn, in the School of Education. This Mental Health Demonstration grant funded by US Department of Education represents a collaboration between the UWT School of Education and three partner districts. The Project Coordinator will supervise the implementation of this project, support the agreements with partners, and manage all project activities including data collection, analysis, and project evaluations.

The Project Coordinator will facilitate day-to-day project activities and logistics, support the Project Directors, oversee data collection, maintain records, monitor expenditures on program budgets, process fiscal transactions, disseminate information to high-need LEA partners, coordinate professional development activities, enroll participants in the project, and serve as the day-to-day contact person for the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative tasks (e.g., scheduling, room reservations, ordering materials)

  • Communicate with project co-directors and partners

  • Oversee project procurement of resources

  • Ensure documentation and maintain secure records following university records policies

  • Organizing, attending and participating in partner meetings

  • Create databases for project data collection and evaluation

  • Direct and oversee data collection

  • Monitor expenditures on project budgets

  • Process fiscal transactions

  • Monitor project plan and proactively identify potential issues or challenges; work with project co-directors as needed to mitigate risks and resolve issues

  • Create and communicate bi-weekly progress reports to the project co-directors detailing progress on project activities

  • Assist with analysis of the project performance measures

  • Work with the project co-directors in the preparation and submission of the grant annual report.

  • Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent and two years of experience coordinating projects that involve logistics, fiscal transactions, enrolling participants, and customer service, or equivalent education/experience. Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and experience in a coordinating role, preferably in education or mental health fields

  • Excellent time management and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to plan and work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsCompetency in computer-based applications, including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint

  • Ability to work collaboratively with school district personnel with a focus on building partnerships

  • Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to think and work independently
